It’s been a week since I came back from Patagonia – the best trip I ever made ( more about it later ) but I still have hard time re-adjusting to the time and weather and sun setting at 5PM..Tokyo is 14 hours ahead of Buenos Aires so I still wake up in the middle of the night and feel drowsy during day. That is one of the main reasons why I went clubbing with my friends with full intentions of coming back with the last train but staying till morning nevertheless.
I feel so full of energy a night – it’s crazy. I’m not a type of person who once awake does something in the middle of the night. I’m the kind of person who is trying very hard to fall asleep by counting sheep and drinking hot milk and stressing about not sleeping..
Anyway, it’s slightly getting better now but on the weekend I didn’t sleep at all. Even after club, I stayed in bed for a couple of hours and then went to church to participate in the Epiphany celebration . We did a small “Krestniy hod” – a walk around the church with icons and candles. Outside there was a huge ice cross where the highest priest was baptizing drinkable water and spraying it on us. It was very cold but very joyful – we all took the bottles of holy water back home.
Today, at the shooting me and Serezha were doing a scene where I had to scare him with a huge “Teru teru bouzu” – Japanese amulet kinda thingie that you put on your window to make the rain stop. The normal size can fit on your palm but this one was huge so I took a picture of it. Isn’t it cute?
