Last week, my friend Eri invited me to an event in Roppongi hills. It was a YSL launch party for their new product Gloss Volupte that is going to be available nationwide from tomorrow, april 1st. The place was packed and I am not surprised.
Yesterday, I went to see another runway show, this time of a Japanese designer Yasutoshi Ezumi. The collection was called “designare” which is Latin for “mark out”, “plan”. It was inspired by Eames House – a famous landmark of mid-20th century modern architecture.
Yesterday, I was lucky enough to receive an invitation to my first ever Fashion week runway show (thanks to my fashion fairy Mai). I have been to runway shows in the past and even participated in some but never during the fashion week.
Yesterday, amazing blogger and my “mama-tomo” friend Mai invited me to the Maybelline NY opening party for the A/W 2014-2015 Maybelline x Mercedez Benz Fashion Week Tokyo. This is my second time to attend this party and I can honestly say that it is one of the best ones in town. Not only it is a great opportunity to catch up with influential Tokyoites in fashion but to also unwind in a stylish way to the tunes of popular DJs, try new products (and get some!!) and of course find yourself in the midst of it all with the most trending hashtags of the moment.
Today, I was invited to come see Yoshiko Kris-Webb – a charismatic Japanese model to present Comptoir des Cotonniers spring/summer collection. I saw it earlier this year in the show room and couldn’t wait for it to hit the stores. Most of it is already available and oh, so good. I couldn’t help but buy a beautiful French countryside-inspired top and a super cozy spring sweater. This brand just speaks to me, like it knows exactly what I want before I even want it. ^-^ Till today, I had no idea how much I needed a khaki-colored military style spring jacket and now it’s all I can think of.. ^-^
