Trendy fashion with a “value” price tag
Last week, I saw a preview of Dholic summer collection. Dholic (http://www.dholic.co.jp/) is an online fashion store that offers a variety of reasonably-priced, right-on-trend items from Korea for both men and women. Korea is famous for incredibly cute fast fashion and Dholic is definitely the site to watch.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t ship internationally nor does it offer any kind of foreign language support. Asian retail market is obviously lacking the globalization factor but you can buy some of the items on Rakuten market and although it is by no means as good as Ebay or Amazon, it does offer some international support and shipping options.
I really adore how Korean shopping sites are really diligent with photos. They post thousands of photos of just one garment so that you can see how it looks when standing, when sitting, when walking, what you can style it with, even how it looks from the inside out. ^-^ Here is the example of the skirt I have my eye on.
Their collection featured two exclusive brands (Dholic and Monomori) and was separated into three categories – sporty, feminine and daily. The main focus was on their resort line with over 40 swimwear looks. All of them were very cute but covering a lot which is very typical for Japanese market. The tops were all heavily padded but the pads can be removed (I checked!). A swimsuit with top and bottom in different colors and fabrics is definitely not my cup of tea but it looks very innocent and sweet so if that’s what you are going for, then Dholic and Japanese swimwear market in general is your place to shop at.
But I really loved the clothes! This cute little romper in retro pattern and a cropped sheer top in polka dots are so going into my summer wardrobe.
There were a lot of updated bomber jackets and cropped tops in mesh from the 90s. Fashion always comes around but it never fails to look fresh. Incredible.
I really liked this very light bomber jacket in black lace – perfect to throw on top of anything when going out at night.
After being inspired with the collection, I immediately checked the website. I discovered so many beautiful skirts and tops under 4000 yen. I guess everyone knows what’s coming next. Shopping time!
